Our client is a leading supplier of branded and own non food consumer goods, supplying major UK retailers including grocers and high street retailers. The Role:
As a result of continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen to join their supply chain team as a supply chain planner/analyst.
The primary focus of the role is to work collaboratively with the company’s customers to help proactively manage their stocks, in-store availability and implementation of promotional volumes. The aim is to become an extension of the customers’ merchandising teams, offering support and ensuring that key critical path dates are met, consequently the ability to work collaboratively and apply a common-sense approach to problem solving is important.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you’ll manage and optimize stock planning, supplier relationships, and internal operations. This includes:
- Supply Planning & Analysis: Creating, updating, and analyzing supply plans to ensure seamless operations and maintain customers availability.
- Stock Inventory Control: Managing stock levels, addressing slow-moving lines, and resolving supply risks.
- Supplier Management: Collaborating with freight forwarders and suppliers to optimize forecasting.
- Internal Communication: Coordinating stakeholder meetings and customer visits
The Person:
A a detail-oriented and commercially savvy professional you will have:
Essential:
- Strong commercial acumen, advanced Excel skills and proven analytical skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- A proven track record within supply chain analysis.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Confidence in managing, presenting and interpreting large datasets.
- Outstanding communication (both written and verbal).
- Logical thinking, problem-solving mindset and a “Can Do” attitude.
Desirable:
- Retail knowledge or experience.
- Familiarity with supplier management and third-party collaborations.
- Knowledge/ Experience ERP systems (Sage & Slimstock)
This role is office Based (Monday to Friday 37.5hrs) and due to location, a driving license is required.
