£50-65,000 Basic, Excellent Bonus, + Car Allowance

Our client supplies a range of eco-friendly/sustainable products to many of the top grocery multiple and garden centre groups. There has been little emphasis however on the larger independent retailers and garden centres however the independent channel holds massive potential, and it is a potential our client intends to exploit. To that end we have been briefed to identify and recruit an accomplished individual to take charge of the independent channel ( retail and garden centres in the main ). Some of this business will be done directly, and some via self-employed agents and distributors and it will be your responsibility to manage both the direct supply business as well as that sold via distributors and agents.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should have had experience of managing self-employed sales agents and if at all possible some distributors too. Either way, it’s critical that you can engage and inspire self-employed agents to the best possible advantage.

You will also take responsibility for a number of your own accounts so ideally ( but not essentially ) you will also have some kind of exposure to either garden centre and / or retail accounts. 

We have been briefed to consider applications from candidates from any product background / category as the commercial skills are more important than category knowledge, which can be easily learned.
