National Account Manager – B & Q and Screwfix

£50-60,000 Basic, Bonus, Car or Car Allowance + Benefits

Our client is a category leader in the seasonal category and with a heavy emphasis on the Christmas and seasonal gardening categories. A recent joint venture with a Dutch partner now means the company can now also offer a range of top-quality gardening hand tools which should complement the current category ranges. This is a senior role, and we have been briefed to identify candidates with the credibility to formulate and implement realistic joint business and category plans with the various retailers.

To be considered for this exciting position you should have had exposure to dealing with some major retailers at head office / national accounts level; this could have been in the DIY specialist channel, or it might equally well have been in the general Grocery channel selling into the top four grocery mults. Exposure to either B & Q or Screwfix would be something of a bonus but is absolutely not essential.

The role is home based so you could live anywhere in the UK however there is extensive travelling involved in the position ( probably three days out of five ) and your attendance will be required twice yearly at the head office in Holland ( typically for two or three days at a time ).
