In order continue our growth and success, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to spearhead and deliver the UK Commercial Strategy for the Foodservice/OOH Channel.

 

The Role
The Senior Commercial Manager will partner with the Head of Commercial to define and execute a growth strategy for the Foodservice/OOH channel. This includes driving new business wins, developing key accounts, and ensuring distribution of both new and existing products.

A strong commercial leader with excellent business development skills, the Senior Commercial Manager will utilise their Key Account Management experience and food sector knowledge to firmly establish Bakels as leading Foodservice/OOH player in the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a clear Foodservice/OOH growth strategy.
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities across Foodservice Wholesale, QSR, HORECA, and On-Trade sectors.
  • Drive product distribution, manage product mix to maximize margin, and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, focusing on innovation and added value. Build and sustain profitable relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Appraise product range and suitability in conjunction with the Head of Commercial.
  • Be proactive and explore profitable new business opportunities – both immediate and longer term.
  • Actively explore opportunities to grow Bakels’ overall market presence.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated commercial leader with a proven track record in the food industry, ideally in private-label products. (this could be at either SNAM or NAM Level)

You will possess:

  • Extensive Foodservice/OOH national account experience.
  • Strong business development expertise in Foodservice/OOH. Strategic thinking combined with the ability to act swiftly to win business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate autonomously and as a Team Player.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with resilience and perseverance.

The successful candidate will be naturally “Entrepreneurial” in their approach to National Accounts and be ready drive their career forward with a leading International Food Business.
