Signature Career Management are currently working alongside an FMCG snack manufacturing business based in the Northwest who are searching for a new Business Development Manager to increase their branded reach across the wholesale market….If you have bought a certain type of PL snack from a supermarket, the chances are, this company has probably made them. But they want to try and edge their variety of branded products onto the market for major end users like pubs, bars, cafes and other OOH customers.

Key responsibilities:
- Actively engaging with existing and new customers to increase sales of current lines- this role requires someone to think outside the box when pitching to clients and to understand what type of product sells to who.
- Identifying gaps in the market and finding innovative ways of selling the brands. Eg. What type of product is it? Will this wholesaler or pub group prefer a premium item or a cheaper, everyday item?
- National Account Management of wholesalers and major end users
- Manage daily relationships with all interfacing personnel such as customers, buyers, suppliers, technical, operations, and accounting teams
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience with managing key accounts in wholesale with some pre-existing contacts, you will be managing your own accounts that you have built from scratch.
- Ideally 2 years of experience in wholesale RTM, MEU would be great, but not a dealbreaker.
- Branded experience is a bonus!
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills in order to hold a room and collaborate
- Great organisation with exceptional time management skills who wants to take ownership of their schedule and stick to it- the employer wants to trust that you oversee yourself and your time and will deliver as a result.
- Tenacity and drive with a winning mentality to generate new business
