Description
- Take direct ownership of strategic grocery and discounter retail accounts, driving revenue and fostering strong partnerships.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a small, high-performing commercial team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's broader growth objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional activities with key retail partners.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- This role is home based, the successful candidate will be prepared for national travel
Profile
- Current experience managing key accounts within grocery and discount retail sectors, preferably within the personal care or homecare categories.
- A background as a Sales Director in a similar SME environment or be an ambitious Head of Sales or National Account Controller ready for a step up.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing small teams.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities in a competitive marketplace.
