Ariat is now seeking an Area Sales Manager - Benelux to work closely with their successful and dynamic European sales team.

Job Description

Overview

The focus of this role will be to grow sales and profits across all channels in the Benelux region. The Area Sales Manager will develop commercial growth across Equestrian, Country Performance, Workwear (including Farming & Agriculture), Western Fashion ranges and Denim.

Key Responsibilities for the Area Sales Manager - Benelux

  • Work with the Sales Manager to deliver digital first campaigns with key retailers.
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for key accounts to achieve and strive to exceed sales targets.
  • To provide support to retailers to maintain a strong and effective brand presence, including appropriate in-store merchandising and online.
  • To work closely with colleagues in Marketing and Product to create demand and develop the brand within the region.
  • To develop and maintain strong working relationships with all internal Ariat personnel.
  • Execute a structured selling process with a good understanding of supporting sell through.
  • Prepare and own the GTM plans for most relevant customers for the area.
  • Responsible for market analysis of respective area, to report to Sales Manager
  • Prepare numbers and meetings with accounts, understand, and use data.
  • Coaching, motivating, and managing the customers in line with the yearly and seasonal GTM objectives.
  • Support customers at shows and events when needed according to meaningful time management.
  • Ensure that reporting and necessary administration is done in a professional manner and on time.
  • Work with Customer Service, Demand Planning and Operations to ensure smooth product flow where booking in and order book management is needed.
  • Carry out any other appropriate tasks as designated by the Sales Manager and senior team
  • Form a close working relationship with company management team to ensure good understanding of business and support business initiatives

The Successful Applicant

Area Sales Manager - Benelux - Who Are We Looking For?

  • Experience in the Equestrian, Sportswear, Outdoor & Country and lifestyle apparel or footwear arena or perhaps similar categories in the FMCG world
  • Confident, decision maker with the ability to lead conversations and negotiations with key retail partners
  • An experienced and successful sales professional with both strong account management experience as well as new business and increased distribution wins under their belt with retailers (bricks, online & omni)
  • An analytically and data focused person with strong organisational and planning skills
  • Articulate, customer focused and financially aware person
  • Ability to plan, travel, be efficient with customers visits and meetings
  • IT literate with experience of MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Fluent in written and spoken French & English, with Dutch desirable also
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude and positive growth outlook
  • Candidate will ideally be based in Belgium (southern part of Netherlands also considered)
  • Full driving licence that allows travel in the EU
  • Ability to travel freely within the EU and to the US

  • Up to EUR 60,000 salary dependant on experience
  • EUR 10,000 Car Allowance per annum
  • Up to 30% bonus, based on hitting personal and company targets
  • Plus further benefits (to be stipulated in the contract of employment)
