Thyme Marketing are the leading outsourced field sales team working in the natural and organic channel. We are looking to grow our services into the farm shop / deli / fine food space. We pride ourselves on our innovative, transparent and honest approach to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Working with some of the brand leaders from our existing clients and potential new clients from challenger brands to fine foods you will be visiting independent stores across the South East, introducing our services, selling across multiple brands and growing our partners distribution.
We are looking for an individual to launch and grow this new service in farm shop / deli / fine foods, so must have field sales experience ideally already working in the farm shop channel. Experience of prospecting and opening new accounts is essential.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. This role will cover the M4 corridor, London, and the South East region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth from face-to-face meetings every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and deliver an effective and efficient journey plan, visiting retailers across your territory. Present brand portfolio and procure regular and agreed sales on all brands.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory to expand the client base.
- Client Support: Act as the main point of contact for retailers, addressing any issues or concerns and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our sales director, other account managers, marketing and customer service.
- Reporting: Using our state-of-the-art CRM system, provide sales and feedback data for all of our customers.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has experience of visiting retailers daily, and is passionate about food, sustainability, and ethical business practices. You should have a strong interest in organic and natural products, and genuinely care about the planet and the impact we have on it. You will be driven to promote sustainable, ethical brands that align with our values.
- Experience of journey planning and retailer meetings: 90% of our business and success comes from face-to-face contact
- Passion for Food & Sustainability: You love great food and are passionate about sustainable and ethical sourcing. You care about promoting products that make a difference to both people and the planet.

- Ethical Approach: You are committed to promoting brands with strong ethical values, such as fair trade, organic, and environmentally friendly products.
- Relationship Builder: You excel at building and nurturing relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Self-Motivated: You are proactive, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Adaptable: You are flexible and can adapt to changing market dynamics, always ready to find new ways to promote our premium challenger brands.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a field-based Account Manager or in a similar sales role, ideally within natural health/farm shop/deli/garden centre sectors.
- Strong knowledge of M4 corridor, London, and South East region retailers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Experience of using Microsoft software and using a CRM system
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
