Due to year on year growth we are seeking extra Sales Account Managers with a love for the ‘On-Trade’ and a knack for building relationships who can join us on our journey.

We are looking for passionate and driven people with a hunger to succeed.
Managing Customer and Partner relationships in full alignment with the group business strategy.
Build and manage a strong pipeline to over-achieve yearly sales targets.

Job Description

  • Work alongside our valued supply partners (some of the world’s biggest and most respected drinks brands)
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Identifying emerging markets/customers to find new sales opportunities.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
  • Analyse the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Negotiate price increasing and terms and conditions in line with group policy.

Applicant Profile

  • A passion for the drinks industry with knowledge of the UK on-trade.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within the BWS sector.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.

Founded in 1989 by John Ravenscroft in Liverpool as Beerscellars UK, the business continues to be run by the Ravenscroft family, with all members having an active role, along with long serving members of staff at all depots. 
The company is a key partner with all of the major drinks brands, as well as many niche producers both local and from around the world.  Originally simply a beer wholesaler, Hops and Barley now stock a growing list of 4000+ products, priding ourselves on the range we offer, and if Hops & Barley don’t have it…we do our best to get it!
Our depots service Merseyside, Manchester, Cheshire & North Wales, we supply some of the most prestigious hospitality venues in the North West and North Wales and our continued success is based around 3 core tenets; great service, a fantastic portfolio and providing sound professional advice.
In addition to the wholesale business the company has its own retail sites and brand distribution deals.  This, and our range gives, us a unique understanding of what the modern pub, restaurant, hotel, bar, or club operator requires.
