This is an exciting opportunity for a capable and organised Assistant Merchandiser to join our Retail head office team in London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, excellent analytical skills, and will be ready to contribute to our continued success.

Our client is a well-known retailer of multiple products that are well-loved by consumers for their excellent quality and prices. Based in London, they are looking to expand their Merchandise planning team to continue delivering top-notch services to their clients.

Description
  • Assist in planning and forecasting for the retail department.
  • Monitor and analyse sales, stock and trends to optimise sales and margin.
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock planning and control.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to ensure effective range planning.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales analysis reports.
  • Collaborate with factories for production-related matters.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the Merchandisers in any other necessary tasks.


Profile

A successful Assistant Merchandiser should have:
  • A degree in Business, Mathematics, Fashion, or a related field.
  • Experience in a retail planning or product planning environment.
  • Strong analytical and advanced numerical skills.
  • Interest in retail trends and confident with insight tools.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
