Description
- Manage and lead the womenswear design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that align with the brand's aesthetic.
- Stay ahead of fashion trends and translate these into innovative and trend-led designs.
- Collaborate with celebrities and influencers to create unique styles.
- Oversee the design process from concept to production.
- Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure a cohesive product range.
- Present design ideas and final ranges to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs adhere to budget and time constraints.
- Foster a creative and positive environment within the design team.
Profile
A successful Design Manager should have:
- A degree or equivalent in Fashion Design or a related field.
- A design handwriting adaptable to popular fast-fashion dresses, tops, outerwear etc.
- Thorough knowledge of working with wovens, jerseys, knits, trims, etc.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and similar.
- A strong understanding of the fashion retail industry and current trends.
- Ability to forge close working partnerships with popular social media influencers, media personalities, etc.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills and highly adaptable.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to influence key business decisions.
