The Assistant Merchandiser will work with the head office planning team at our client's Hampshire head offices, providing essential support with forecasting, weekly stock analysis, optimisation, product lifecycle management and inventory planning in conjunction with buyers, contributing to the overall success of our products.

Description
  • Assist in managing the product lifecycle from planning to clearance
  • Collaborate with the buying team to ensure product availability and timely launches
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to minimise stockholding costs and maximise sales opportunities
  • Analyse sales performance and provide actionable insights
  • Aid in the planning and execution of promotional activities in-store
  • Support the Retail team in creating an engaging and customer-friendly store environment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and retail standards
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times


Profile

A successful 'Assistant Merchandiser' should have:
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Retail or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the retail industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in retail management software
  • Exceptional customer service skills
