Our client:

  • A leading supplier of non-food products across multiple categories including home, gift, licensed products and home decor
  • Have a diverse portfolio of design-led products, a number of key licenses in the market and well renowned by consumers both in the UK and globally
  • Operate as a family run business with a close-knit, autonomous culture. Allows for entrepreneurialism
  • Deal with major UK and international retailers across multiple channels including online retail, high street, garden centre groups and independents
  • Culture is open, friendly and hardworking
  • Opportunity to join the team as Export Business Development Manager within the international sales part of the business

 

The role:

  • Export Business Development Manager driving and developing new business across multiple countries
  • Work within the international sales team, reporting into Head of Export Sales
  • This is a great opportunity to help drive and develop sales across Europe & Rest of World
  • Done predominantly on a direct to retail basis with vast opportunity globally
  • This is a new business led role, must have tenacity and ability to develop new relationships
  • Working on strategies and presentations to target and win new accounts.
  • Maximise sales through educating customers on the brand and company history
  • Use company showroom, all catalogues to showcase products and licenses. Attend all industry trade shows

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience of driving and developing new business from scratch, ability to build new customer relationships
  • You may have experience in export sales’ but this is not essential, we are open to UK sales experience with transferable skills
  • Worked in a product driven business, ideally within a non-food category but other closely aligned industry experience will be considered
  • Enjoy new business development and a challenge
  • Be personable, likeable, tenacious and a great relationship builder
  • Self-motivated, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be North-West based and able to commute to a Lancashire based office
