Job Details

Hours: Office based 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

Salary: £37000 - £40000 depending on experience plus up to 25% bonus

Location: Welwyn Garden City

About the role:

Are you a driven and dynamic professional with a passion for business development and international sales? We are looking for an Export Sales Executive to play a critical role in driving sales, managing, and developing customer relationships across defined European (EU) and Rest of the World (ROW) territories. This position focuses on 90% new business development (both previous, new and existing contacts) and 10% account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  •         Understand existing clients and their product portfolios to identify opportunities for increased sales.
  •         Lead customer management, generate leads, and convert new business in ROW and EU sales territories.
  •         Establish and maintain a visit/contact schedule, document meetings, and follow up rigorously to close deals.
  •         Build strong relationships, understand business activities, and highlight potential products to enhance our portfolio.
  •         Prepare and negotiate joint business plans with customers aligned with company budgets.
  •         Analyse sales performance, report competitive insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  •         Prepare client presentations and materials, including PowerPoint and sales displays.
  •         Attend conferences and industry events and help coordinate company UK events and trade shows.
  •         Assist in forecasting customer sales to ensure consistent product supply to target markets.

About you:

  • Proven track record in sales and new business development, especially within FMCG
  • Good knowledge of developing export business through international distributors
  • Proactive selling and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, diligent, and driven
  • Good communication skills and IT literacy
