The Category Manager for Jewellery role involves driving sales and profit growth for the Jewellery category. Working cross functionally, with buying, merchandising and marketing teams. Alongside the vendor, manage marketing campaigns, range launches and training in stores.

Description
  • Reporting to the Indian vendor, deliver sales and profit growth for the Jewellery category.
  • Work alongside the buying and merchandising teams.
  • Alongside the vendor, manage marketing campaigns, range launches, training in stores.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Create sales reports to be utilised across the business.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance product portfolio and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with the vendor to negotiate cost prices and ensure product availability.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and take corrective action as necessary.




Profile

A successful Category Manager Jewellery should have:
  • Ideally a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Ideally experience working with Indian suppliers.
  • Independent worker and a 'self starter'.
  • Proven experience in merchandising or category management role within the retail industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour in the jewellery sector.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools to make informed business decisions.
  • A proactive approach and a passion for delivering results.
