HIGH GROWTH, ADDED VALUE DRINKS BUSINESS
JUNIOR NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – Grocery Retail Multiples
Hybrid working South West, M4/M5 corridor
Attractive salary + bonus, car allowance & benefits
THE COMPANY
This added value, brand-led dairy category drinks business has achieved exceptional sales growth success through their core Grocery Retail Multiple account partners over the last 10 years, with sales now exceeding £100m. This success story has been built through a close ‘team’ working collaboration style with factory and sales/marketing personnel all focused on a clear board-led investment and NPD growth strategy.
As part of their continued future growth plans, the Head Of Commercial is looking to appoint a Junior National Account Manager who will work as part of the commercial team on a number of their Grocery Retail Multiple customers.
JOB ACTIVITIES
This is a great career development opportunity! Whether you’re working at NAE or NAM level on any of the major Grocery Retail Multiple accounts this could be the right career move you are looking for!
Reporting to a Commercial Manager you will commence in a broad-based central activity account support function, although you will have the freedom (and expectation) to quickly show what you can do and take on key account management responsibilities. These will include performance analysis, developing strategic presentations, managing NPD launches, supply change communications and direct customer contact communications and attending key business meetings.
In short, you will have the platform to show what you can do and quickly make a real contribution to key KPI sales growth performance objectives and most importantly, be both recognised and rewarded for your commercial achievements.
You will have a huge amount of support and coaching from some highly experienced FMCG commercial colleagues who help generate the open, friendly and positive collaborative team culture.
This is a hybrid role that supports a flexible approach, with 2 days per week attendance required at the southwest-based office and factory site.
ABOUT YOU
Essential to this appointment will be your experience of working in a support function or with full account responsibility at head office level with any of the top 8 Grocery Retail Multiples. You should therefore have, at the very least, a basic understanding of systems, processes, promotional planning, NPD window launch planning and how modern National Account teams work cross-functionally with relevant customer head office level key contact stakeholders.
Your sales career will most likely have been built within FMCG food or drink companies with either brand or own label products, where you have developed a sound understanding of the key FMCG business objectives around distribution/availability, performance data, merchandising and promotional activities.
Above all, you have a great attitude, are keen to learn, love working as part of a team and work to high standards. In short, you are proud of what and how you work with ambition and have a personal style that’s highly engaging, enabling you to interact easily with people at all management levels.
If you are based in the South West region M4/M5 ‘ish’ corridor and are looking to join a dynamic growing business with great products, people and can offer you real future career growth potential, please apply now to mark@smithcarey.co.uk quoting reference MS/2435 together with your CV and salary package details.
