The Meals Solutions division of 2 Sisters Food Group is seeking an experienced and adaptable Account Manager to support our Commercial team.

About the Role:

Reporting into the Commercial Controller, the Account Manager will be tasked with driving the Sales and Category strategy for Ocado, the emphasis will be on the Account Manager to direct the business into the best areas to develop a profitable customer base. 

The commercial role is a key role and requires interacting with all parts of the business. The role will lead the Commercial agenda for the Ocado account, this will require collaboration and interaction with the wider Divisional teams and sites in line with the agreed strategic direction for the business.

Accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Business development though maximising sales opportunities with the customer
  • Profit generation decisions.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the creation of effective Commercial strategies for the business and oversee plans at division, category, customer, and product levels.
  •  Creation and implementation of annual business plans at Category and strategic customer level designed to achieve/exceed company profit and revenue targets.  
  • Ensure effective and efficient deployment of strategic account planning management.  
  • Carry out regular business performance reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities and proactively taking steps, to optimise the Company’s revenue and profit.
  • Ensure that actionable management information is effectively provided, reviewed and understood.  Initiate and manage regular commercial meetings which are timetabled, agenda-driven and action-led to ensure that all commercial/marketing opportunities are being exploited.  
  • To oversee and provide strategic direction for Customer & Category insight.  
  • Ensure positive and effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders through effective and proactive communication.  

This will be a hybrid mobile position requiring frequent travel to sites across the division as well as to our customers.  

About You:

To excel in this Account Manager role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • FMCG background ideally short shelf-life food manufacturing experience
  • Online retail experience
  • Capable of strategic development with the customer.
  • Excellent communicator and customer facing  
  • Confident in making presentations and producing written reports.
  • Quality focused and commercially minded.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic, committed, and flexible approach  
  • Self-motivated; work on own initiative, is flexible, positive, and confident.  
  • Good IT skills – Word, Excel, Power Point and Access database.
  •  Numerical accuracy and focused on detail.
  • Previous senior experience in a category / commercial environment 
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting and presenting data in easy-to-understand formats.
