Job Details

Our client is a £500m +  FMCG group operating in some of the most dynamic impulse categories in the UK & Europe.  The business in now looking to hire an outstanding Senior National Account Manager who can manage and lead their Tesco business unit.  The business has gone from strength to strength in recent years with a high degree of sophistication across the different business functions largely due to strong leadership, the ability and high potential of new  recruits and constant innovation driven at every level of the business.  

This has been a real success story and they are in a strong position for further UK growth. 

In this role you will work closely with the Sales Director and the different function heads to devise and execute effective business plans against commercial objectives and targets but also have the  ability to   make a really big impact on the future of the business and the Brands.  

Snapshot of responsibilities 

•    Effective management and relationship development of the Tesco business  
•    Development and implementation of joint business plans
•    Effectively use Category and Shopper insight to build customer proposals
•    Manage promotional activity, owning the planning, delivery and evaluation of promotions 
•    Own any required CPIs
•    Full P&L accountability
•    Contribute at the highest levels across the commercial team and be a major influence in a high performing commercial team.

The experience and person 

•    At least 5 years full National Accounts experience in Branded FMCG across Top Tier Grocery, ideally with strong Tesco experience
•    Recent or previous experience of working with Impulse food products. 
•    Strong skills working cross-functionally with Category, Marketing and Demand Planning 
•    Outstanding analytical ability and strong financial literacy  
•    Strong communication and negotiation skills are required
•    Ambitious, hard working and happy to get stuck in to make a difference 
•    This is fast paced, fun and a close team of high performers who like to take on global brands and create maximum impact.  


•    Salary up to £80,000, Car Allowance ( TBC) , Ind & Group Bonus, Pension and Healthcare 
•    Home based working, x2 days mandated in the office ( West Yorkshire)
