Job Details

Recruiting for an Area Account Manager to manage a variety of customers on a well performing patch.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Pursue sales leads, visit existing customers, assess customer's needs and suggest appropriate products and services, promote products and conclude orders.
  • Respond to customer's enquiries, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and concluded sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  • Be primary point of contact and build long term relationships with customers.
  • Identify, research and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organisation so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Make offers, update digital customer files, provide weekly information about pipeline to be used for best guess.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Experience in field sales or as a service technician is required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, machinery, power tools would lend itself well to the position.
  • Excellent customer service skills and relationship building capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and communication skills is a must.
  • The ability to plan your own diary and develop existing relationships as well as looking for new business opportunities.


Salary/Benefits Information:

  • Basic of £30,000
  • OTE of £55,000 - £90,000 which has been achieved on this patch and is achieved by others in the team.
  • Brand new hybrid car.
