About this role:
As the Head of National Chains within the UK you will be responsible for owning a portfolio of key restaurant chain partners that operate across the UK within the fast casual/casual dining market to ensure profitable growth and delivering against mutually aligned business objectives.
You will run a team of Account Leads, Account Managers and Account Executives to deliver against these ambitions.
Beyond the day-to-day role, you will also be a key member of the Commercial Leadership team and the wider UK Business Leadership team working within both to support the development and implementation of our wider commercial and business strategy.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Build strong and comprehensive relationships with partners and building Just Eat to preferred partner status
- Initiate, build and develop long-term partner relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers, developing the right rhythms and routines to ensure action and accountability.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the company, partner, customers , and the industry, with an extensive knowledge of fast casual and casual dining segments, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant for both the partners and internal teams.
- Co-create and deliver upon annual JBPs with accounts focused on core mutual objectives to develop our partnership
Develop and shape the strategy to strengthen our partnerships and business with the restaurant partners within this segment
- Gain insights into market dynamics, competitor landscape and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and refine our partnership approach with accounts
- Develop and execute the overall strategy and roadmap for national chains within the UK, aligned with the company objectives and market trends. Identify and evaluate growth opportunities and work closely with relevant stakeholders internally to influence and develop these both within the UK and, where appropriate, across other markets.
Manage the trading performance for national chain operators within the UK market to achieve against our targets
- Lead performance management of national chains and ensure robust forecasting and planning is in place to deliver against target, building out the relevant trade plans working closely with functions across the business.
- Work closely with counterparts across function to lean into the development of the quarterly and annual marketing plans
Lead the deal process and contractual negotiations with key supply within your portfolio ensuring win-win opportunities and growth initiatives
- Coach and support the team to lead the contractual process, discussions and negotiations, working closely with relevant commercial and legal counterparts internally and externally.
Drive commercial and strategic thinking, ensuring that we are capitalising on insights and trends within the industry
- Identify future wider commercial growth opportunities, market size these opportunities and create business cases to support their implementation. Where signed off by the business, work closely with the relevant internal stakeholders to drive these plans to action. Challenge the status quo and ensure that we are future-proofing with investments and decisions.
Lead, motivate and inspire a team of direct reports and the wider team to create a high performance environment
- Set clear expectations and goals, providing guidance and coaching as needed to ensure excellence, rigour and achievement.
- Set the standard for the wider commercial function, developing and showcasing best practice, building new ways of working and innovating.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and drive within the team to meet the overall team and business objectives.
Establish key contacts, relationships and connections across the wider sector and act as a spokesperson for Just Eat at industry events/forums.
Be an active member of the wider commercial leadership team and the UK Leaders community
- Being an active and value-add team member across various forums in which you will participate
