This role requires a dedicated Merchandising Manager to oversee and lead the retail department, ensuring optimal product availability and efficient stock management in Newcastle. This role would require the applicant to live in commutable distance to the office.

Description
  • Lead and manage the merchandising team to achieve optimal product availability.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies.
  • Monitor stock levels and make necessary adjustments to prevent stockouts and overstocks.
  • Work closely with the buying team to plan and forecast for future product buying.
  • Analyse sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs.
  • Plan and monitor store layouts to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • Prepare and present reports on merchandising performance.


Profile

A successful Merchandising Manager should have:
  • A relevant degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the retail industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team.
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
