An exciting National Account Manager opportunity has arisen with one of the leading independent fresh produce businesses in the UK and Europe in their vegetable category.

 

The client:

The role:

  • As a National Account Manager, you will create and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers across various grocery accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, leading negotiation for contracts, pricing, and terms. You will be working in the vegetable category.
  • As a National Account Manager, you will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as sales, marketing, technical, and operations to negotiate weekly and seasonal volumes, ensuring alignment with client demand and market conditions. Additionally, you will also need to work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure the seamless delivery and fulfillment of various client orders.
  • You will really need to understand and be accountable for each grocery client and will tailor your individual approach accordingly.

 

Ideal candidate:

  • You should have proven experience as a National Account Manager, preferably within the fresh produce or food industry, with a strong understanding of supermarket operations and supply chain processes.
  • As a National Account Manager, you must possess excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • You will adopt a proactive and results-oriented mindset focused on driving business growth and be capable of working both independently and in a team.
  • As a National Account Manager, you will have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • You must be flexible to travel as you will need to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • You must be also proficient in Microsoft Office, familiar with Supply Chain Management systems for tracking inventory, managing orders, coordinating logistics, and have experience in costing products and services.
