Signature Career Management have partnered with a leading drinks business who are looking to grow their team. If you have a broad commercial skill set and are looking for a new challenging adventure, bringing with you your experience in FMCG, look no further!


The company has a rich portfolio of classics, though are constantly innovating and leading the way in exploring new categories and flavour profiles in the drinks space. As the business continues to grow, they’re looking to appoint a Commercial Strategy Manager into a newly created role.


As Commercial Strategy Manager, you will work closely with the Business Development and Field Sales teams to increase brand awareness and develop a measurable sales plan.


  • Work with the sales leadership team to develop and implement the medium to long-term field sales strategy, ensuring wider business objectives are delivered
  • Regular review of the operation effectiveness; identifying, proposing, and implementing simplification and efficiencies, mitigating and risks to success
  • Own 3rd party data relationships, delivering maximum return on investment and ensuring the data is central to business decision-making
  • Lead and develop a team of four
  • Work effectively with stakeholders across the organisation including sales, shopper marketing, brand and activation, to ensure the field sales teams have the tools they need

As well as an evolving category, this is an evolving role as it’s been newly created. Successful candidates will need to be adaptable to change, able to handle ambiguity and have the following experience/ attributes:

  • Operated in a broad commercial role within FMCG
  • Retailer-facing experience, with strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Strategic, able to take a holistic viewpoint
  • Creative able to think up new initiatives and ‘outside the box’
  • Proactive, a self-starter who can work in a forward-thinking, driven and autonomous environment
  • Puts the customer first, seeks out consumer insight
  • Numerate, able to interpret data
  • Strong communication skills and a strong character
