What we do.

We’re the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry - supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza and bread to leading grocery retailers including Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

 About the role.

  •  To be an integral part of the M&S buying and forecasting team and build relationships across all categories Bakkavor operate in, becoming an extension of the M&S NWT’s.
  • Deliver and land broader projects across M&S and Bakkavor, that enhance our position within M&S and likewise delivery on M&S KPI – specifically around supply chain optimisation and cost out.
  • Build relationships with planning managers and GM’s across all M&S facing sites to understand their operation to best deliver for Bakkavor and M&S.
  •  Supporting longer term priorities as agreed with the leadership team and NWT’s
  •  Accessing various M&S data systems to update pre-built reports and send to Bakkavor site based & commercial teams
  •  Support sites in delivering and improving depot based KPI’s and build on current reporting underway.
  •  To be an integral part of the M&S buying and forecasting team and build relationships across all categories Bakkavor operate in, becoming an extension of the M&S NWT’s.
  •  In conjunction with Category & Planning Teams at Bakkavor be instrumental in delivering seasonal planning to understand and unlock the impact of order smoothing across key ranges, driving positive profitable improvements for all parties.
  •  To support M&S in the forecasting process to enable best category management, service and CODA for M&S / Bakkavor.
  •  To analyse M&S data to identify & develop solutions to M&S and Bakkavor challenges and drive opportunities for Bakkavor & M&S to improve key KPI of sales, wastage and availability.
  •  Using data to support the M&S weekly WAM sessions allowing for smooth integration in their teams and building trust.
  •  Attending & contributing to other meetings as required – these can be held at M&S, Bakkavor sites or other locations.
  •  Expectation of working would be 2-3days at Waterside with M&S, with hybrid and site on the others.
     

About you.

Ideally you will have industry experience within food manufacturing and retail.

Stakeholder Management across multiple levels across bakkavor and M&S, ability to hold very detailed discussions / projects and lift them into key summary documents to bring people with you.

Excellent communication & team working skills with high degree of integrity, trust, and commitment.

Excellent Excel capabilities. Be able to translate data from a variety of sources and turn into insight into action.
