Job Details
I am seeking a motivated NEW Business Development Manager to join the Sales team within the Packaging (Retail FMCG - Food/Non-food) industry.
The successful candidate will be initially be responsible for identifying new business opportunities (6-12 months) which will develop into a split BD:AM role, maintaining relationships with existing dormant clients, and promoting the company's products and services.

With a presence in Hertfordshire, the company is recognised for its commitment to delivering superior products and services, as well as its dedication to its employees. This particular role will be looking at selling into Retail FMCG - food and non-food.
Description
The successful New Business Development Manager:
- The ability to listen and interpret customer requirements.
- A resilient self-starter with a focus on results.
- Comfortable presenting and negotiating at all levels from shopfloor to boardroom
- An understanding of manufactor process would be an advantage
- An enquiring and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Promote the company's products and services
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information
Profile
The successful Business Development Manager should have:
- Experience in a Sales / Account Executive / Business Development role
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Good understanding of the retail industry
- Willingness to travel for work - national remit!
- You will have full autonomy to manage your diary!
- When not visiting customers you will be based with the team in the HQ (Hertfordshire)
Job Offer
The successful BDM will be offered:
- A competitive salary in the range of £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
