Job Details

Andros is expanding their team of National Account Managers to assist with their ambitious growth plans. Due to this, they are now seeking to add National Account Managers to manage both branded and own label ranges into the grocery channel.

Client Details

Andros is a family-owned business based in South-West France with a turnover exceeding 3 billion Euros and 46 manufacturing sites globally.

They're a leading European fruit transformation and chilled dairy producer, manufacturing the internationally famous brand Bonne Maman, as well as many private label products.

Andros is a people focused business and put this above anything else. With ambition being one of their 5 core values, they invest in people who invest in them. Entrepreneurial mindsets are encouraged, and decisions are based on trust and a team player mindset. Communication is uncomplicated to keep the business agile and ahead of its competitors.

Bonne Maman is the leading brand within the jam category, has grown to number three in spreads and is now a strong competitor within chilled desserts and yoghurts. Their commercial operations are based in Hammersmith and they have a factory in Somerset.

The key responsibilities of the NAM will be to:
  • Develop strong partnerships with customers by networking beyond direct commercial contacts (i.e. their supply teams, senior management etc.)
  • Learn the key selling arguments about Andros, their brand and their products. Build and maintain strong internal, cross-functional relationships to ensure your customers get the necessary focus and service
  • Execute strategic sales plans to drive sales within the chilled category across branded and/or own label products
  • Manage relationships with national grocery clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Negotiate and influence commercial processes to agree contracts, CPIs, JBPs, promotional plans, NPD, digital execution, range reviews and share of space across your account base
  • Hold overall responsibility for all agreed customer projects to ensure that they continually exceed customer expectations
  • Continuously analyse performance and stay ahead of FMCG trends to deliver clear insights and implement necessary actions for change
  • Key performance metrics will be NPD listings, distribution optimisation, promotions, volumes and turnover. The company considers that achieving these objectives will deliver the overall financial company target. There is therefore less talk about margins, only the control of the spend budgets and the achievement of the volume growth
  • Ensure communication throughout the business is prompt to ensure all departments work harmoniously to achieve exceptional customer service
  • Ensure administration tasks are fulfilled (customer creation, promotions etc.) and financial spends are carefully managed
  • Participate in sales meetings

A successful NAM should have:
  • Experience working with either branded or own label products and a knowledge of the discrepancies between the two. Exposure to working with both would be a bonus
  • Ability to effectively network at different levels of trade organisations
  • Proven experience of driving growth at national grocery level in FMCG
  • Capacity to understand the company and adapt to its ways
  • Ability to effectively network across all customer departments, being seen as part of their team, whilst remembering you work for Andros and displaying the Andros values
  • Ability to sell and win new business through the use of brand image, technical superiority or product benefits
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • A hungry, go-getter attitude. Not settling for second best and always searching for ways to increase shelf-space and sales in stores
  • You will represent a premium French brand that is loved by UK consumers. Your communication, presentation and attention to detail should reflect this
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • A capacity to act quickly and keep decision making simple, not afraid to make decisions and have a natural curiosity to change
  • Must be able to be in Hammersmith 3 days a week as a minimum

Job Offer
  • Competitive Salary
  • Car allowance
  • Performance based bonus
  • 25 days holiday and Bank Holidays
  • Personal private health care
  • 6% employer pension contribution
  • 4 x salary life assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
