Description

• Overseeing the product development process of lighting products from conception to manufacturing
• Managing a team of engineers and fostering a collaborative work environment
• Ensuring product designs meet quality, cost and schedule requirements
• Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve product performance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product success
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to product development
• Staying abreast of industrial/manufacturing trends and technologies
• Maintaining and improving departmental standards and procedures

Profile

A successful Product Engineering Manager should have:

• Experience of developing lighting products approved by the Lighting Industry Association (LIA).
• Proven technical product expertise within the lighting retail sector
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
• Knowledge of product development processes and methodologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
