The role of Sales Representative:

£28,000 - £32,000 plus company car or car allowance.  

A home based role covering Devon and Cornwall that can be full time or part time.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work under the guidance and support of the company’s Managing Director
  • Inherit a portfolio of established garden centre customers
  • Create a journey plan that maximises customer contact time
  • Build strong relationships with owners, buyers and sales assistants
  • Take orders, assist with merchandising, introduce new products
  • Develop skills in range selling, merchandising, sales presentations and negotiation
  • Provide first class customer service and follow up


The person for this Sales Representative opportunity:

This will be a highly enjoyable role for a gregarious and organised individual who enjoys the variety and pace of field sales. The key to success is frequent customer contact, great relationships and a commitment to customer service.


The profile we are looking for includes:

  • Living in Devon or Cornwall
  • A track record of retail sales or field sales within garden centres or similar independent retailers
  • Excellent communication skills, sociable personality, good sense of humour
  • Well planned and organised.
  • Highly self motivated and able to work from home
  • Works to high standards and very committed.


The Company:

A small, privately owned business with responsibility for the sale of four major garden trade brands in the South of England. The job holder will enjoy the support and mentoring of a very experienced Managing Director and a work/life balance that is rare in a field sales role.  


The Benefits:

A negotiable basic salary of £28,000 - £32,000 plus company car or car allowance all equipment required to work remotely.
