Title: Junior National Account Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 DOE
What can I expect?
The role will be adapted to suit the individual dependant on whether experience and skills are better suited for either grower or customer facing tasks within a Service Provision Model. If more customer focussed, then you'll manage the relationship and communication between the international team, the 3rd party packhouse and customer supply chain personnel and Assistant Buyer. Also assisting in managing relationships to a buyer level on day-to-day matters and during cover for the Commercial Manager.
If a grower facing preference, then the candidate will be the first port of call for growers based both overseas and in the UK and to manage the relationships, inbound supply and grower payments. You must be a flexible team member able to gain understanding of all key tasks associated with the supply of product, to assist during periods of colleague absence. Also able to play an active role in the coordination and sales during the UK Stone Fruit season.
What do I need?
* Experience - knowledge of produce preferably or other fast moving goods industries, experience of dealing with retailers desirable but not essential
* Computer literacy - all Microsoft applications
* Attention to detail - all duties must be carried out with a very high level of accuracy, sometimes in a pressured environment
* Decision making - candidate must be able to make decisions confidently whilst understand the consequences in the absence of the CD
* Team player - working as part of a close-knit commercial, supply chain and technical team
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Resilience - able to have tough conversations and remain motivated
* Supply chain, forecasting, customer relationship/engagement
* Numeracy skills
* Flexibility to cover team members during periods of leave and to work within the directs year

* Able to cover all aspects of the end to end supply chain during staff leave
* Supporting other managers with occasional ad hoc tasks
* Project work to support Commercial Director, eg end of season grower reviews
* Support of wider business needs when required, ie ERP, data capture, packaging management and innovation
