Role and responsibilities  

This role is designed to support the sales and marketing teams realise their full potential of delivering against the ambitious targets set for the European region. It requires a strong level of communication skills and follow through. Good administration, organisation and attention to detail are of paramount importance to the success of the role. The role could be seen as an entry path to either sales or marketing specialities due to the day-to-day interaction with both teams and the wider management group. However as with any small business/start up your future will be in your own hands.

Major functions of the role are as follows:

  • Business Administration – Fulfilling the back-end support function to support sales growth.
  • Trade Marketing – Supporting the implementation of the regional marketing plan to enable growth.
  • Brand Activation – Assisting the activation of brand events, both B2B and B2C.
  • Ecommerce – Supporting the sales and strategy of online sales and digital marketing.   

 Whilst the business, and EMEA team have huge aspirations they are still in their infancy and so do not have the flex to carry staff. A real go getter is required with a willingness to take on new tasks and learn on the job. Whilst training and a full induction will be provided the ability to know what needs to be done and get on with it is necessary. A clear pathway to Account Management/Sales, Trade/Brand Management are obvious opportunities moving forward and you will be supported to take on these responsibilities if you have an interest and ability.

Qualifications and education requirements

Graduate Calibre – Preferred background/skills in Project Management, Sales, Events or Marketing would be helpful

Must Be

  1. Organised – The business is on an aggressive upward trajectory and thus needs to be efficient.
  2. Confident – You will be required to speak and present to customers as well as make decisions.
  3. Self-Starter – Whilst training and support will be given you will need to manage your own time.
  4. Reliable – With a small team you absolutely must do what you say you will, when you say you will.

Should Be

  1. Microsoft Proficient – Use of Word, Excel, Power Point a must, Access nice to have.
  2. Flexible – This isn’t a typical Mon-Fri 9 to 5, evening and weekend working may be required from time to time and travel across the UK and wider EU will be required for shows.
  3. Passionate – We want colleagues that take pride in their work and strive for continuous improvement.

Could Be

  1. Lover of Hot Beverages – We operate in the world of Hot (and cold) Beverages dealing with tea and coffee lovers, being on the same wavelength always helps but isn’t essential.
  2. Content Creator – An extremely valuable skill in today’s modern world, one that would be good to have in house but not essential.
  3. HORECA Experience – We service the HORECA market, and it sets the strategy for the business, knowledge of working in or on this market is an advantage.

Additional Info

The role is a hybrid one, you will be required to work from the company offices in Lower Darwen (just off the M65), with the possibility for some home working and at times be required to go on the road to visit customers and attend shows.
