My client is seeking a NAM with prior experience of managing Aldi. The successful candidate will have own label experience and will be responsible for driving growth across chilled and ambient ranges.

Client Details

Although established 70 years ago, my client is still a small, tight knit business, with an existing footprint across the UK grocery channel. They supply Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods, across both ambient and chilled categories, and are now looking for a National Account Manager as the expand their team to service their continued growth.

  • Identify opportunities to drive growth, revenue and profits across existing account base
  • Be fully responsible for the Aldi account, with other accounts also under your remit
  • Utilise existing relationships and business development skills to win new accounts in the UK grocery and discount channel
  • Agree JBPs, CPIs and negotiate contracts across your account base
  • Work with the National Account Controller to execute agreed sales strategies
  • Monitor trends in the market to stay ahead of competition
  • Identify and understand the needs and future plans of your accounts
  • Analyse sales data and anticipate market trends
  • Report back to the business on performance and opportunities

  • Prior experience working at national account level within UK the grocery channel
  • MUST have prior experience of working with Aldi UK
  • Experience of working in food and drink across own label goods is required
  • Experience working across additional UK grocers and discounters is a bonus
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, demonstrable experience in JBPs, CPIs
  • Exceptional knowledge of the UK grocery and discount channels
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

Job Offer
  • A competitive salary of £58,000 - £60,000
