Description
- Leading and managing a team of buyers.
- Developing and implementing effective buying strategies.
- Working closely with suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices.
- Ensuring the profitability and competitiveness of the product ranges.
- Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends.
- Reviewing performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels.
- Attending trade fairs and events to source new products.
- Managing budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges.
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
- Prior buying expertise in industrial grade tools and machinery.
- Proven experience in purchasing processes.
- Well-established network of suppliers in retail.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
- Strong team management experience.
- An excellent understanding of the retail market and consumer behaviour.
- Highly commercial and analytical and able to interpret sales figures and market trends.
