Personality is key for this role and you do not need previous Full P&L responsibility, as you will receive support and negotiation training. You will however learn and develop to play an important role in managing and expanding the wholesale, online and retail accounts while driving new business opportunities in line with our mission and values.

Client Details

My client is a leading Organic food company in the UK, established for 30 years with over £50m in turnover, they are stable and growing rapidly! This role is for an upcoming NAE/Account Manager who is keen to develop P&L forecasting, negotiating and responsibility over independent accounts PLUS international / EU opportunities.

Description

The successful Account Manager - Organic Foods will:
  • Account Management

    • Manage and nurture existing wholesale and retail accounts and independents.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within customer organisations.
    • Monitor account performance and develop strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.

  • New Business Development

    • Identify and target potential new business opportunities in the wholesale, online and retail sectors across UK, EU and International.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new accounts and customers.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
    • Generate leads, initiate contact, and negotiate pricing with prospective clients.

  • Sales Growth

    • Achieve sales targets, both for existing and new accounts.
    • Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to support sales and promotional activities.
    • Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay competitive.

  • Product Knowledge:

    • Educate customers about our products, benefits, and sustainability practices - be genuinely interested in organic products.
    • Provide product recommendations and solutions to meet customer needs (by really know what is stocked and what you can upsell).

  • Reporting and Analytics:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market data.
    • Prepare sales reports for management review.
    • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.




    Profile

    The successful Account Manager - Organic Foods will:

    Necessary:
    • Interest in organic / sustainable food products
    • Friendly, strategic and inquisitive by nature! Enjoy working within a team and being a team player, while also being confident, working independetly!
    • Strong communication skills and articulate
    • Proven experience in sales, account executive/management roles OR business development within food/drinks
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, a real go-getter!
    • Excel experience
    • FMCG Experience ideal
    • 3 days in the office Kingston Upon Thames


    Desirable but NOT the end of the world if you do not have:
    • Amazon Vendor experience (back end / administrative)


    Job Offer

    The successful Account Manager - Organic Foods will be offered:
    • Excellent basic salary (for someone with no P&L experience): circa £35-40k
    • Bonus
    • Flexible wokring hours *start 8:30am-10am, finish between 16:30/18:00pm*
