Role Details:

Job Title: National Field Manager                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
Reporting to: Field Execution Controller                                                             
Direct reports: Regional Field Manager
Salary: Competitive
Bonus: Performance Related Bonus 
Main purpose of role: To lead the people agenda across the region/account in line with Acosta Europe people initiatives. To manage through the line to ensure all agreed field performance is delivered. To work closely with the Field Execution Controller to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the Field Team.   

Key Tasks and Responsibilities  

Strategy

  • Agree business objectives and KPIs aligned with Nestlé’s objectives and communicate to Regional Teams
  • To consistently review ways of working in the field and propose changes to generate added value
  • To carry out Regional Field Manager team meetings in order to discuss results, provide training and to give direction on key strategic priorities for the forthcoming period
  • Provide regular field insight to the Field Execution Controller, through Regional Field Managers, of all identified areas of feedback and opportunity.
  • Delivery of Category strategies through field and insight
  • Have a clear strategic plan for both people and KPI deliverables, to drive the operational strategic agenda
  • To build and develop relationships with key stakeholders within Nestlé’s Field Operations team to ensure strategic alignment
  • Support with hosting key contacts in the field to demonstrate their strategic plans coming to life and the impact the field team has on these.

Leadership

  • To lead and coach a team of Regional Field Managers to ensure that the team achieve agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Employ the correct capability to ensure delivery of KPI’s/ROI
  • To carry out regular individual performance appraisals for Regional Management Team
  • To develop the team through the line to ensure that we are building a talent pipeline for future
  • Ensure that each Regional Field Manager clearly understands their job role and key result areas, and that this is effectively cascaded to the field teams.
  • Create an on-going strategy for reducing disruption and cover for any vacant territories.

Performance

  • To ensure the team’s achievement of KPI’s and ROI, ensuring field performance standards are adhered to.
  • To be proactive in identifying potential challenges and being clear on corrective path needed to deliver KPI’s in period and in quarter
  • Provide regular field performance updates to Field Execution Controller, recommendations for course correction and add value through sharing insight which could drive future change in approach of focus.
  • To maintain the Field Team’s satisfaction and retention
  • To use league tables, case studies, additional incentives and newsletters to encourage healthy competition. 

Eyes & Ears

  • Keep abreast of trends, news and information concerning the industry and market.
  • To prepare and carry out high profile store visits with Nestlé in order to maximise future opportunities.
  • To be proactive in what is being fed back into the client along with the ‘so what’ and how this could change our thinking and ways of working moving into the future.

Data Recording & Reporting

  • Consistently reviewing performance to ensure quality of data capture is at the correct level.
  • Utilising all PowerBI reports and other data sources available to you to continuously review performance and idea generation for test and learns.
  • Regular analysis of team performance in conjunction with data insights and production of weekly and monthly reports as agreed with line manager.
  • Capture results and produce accurate and timely reports against KPIs offering substantiation of performance and recommendations for future improvements and next steps.
  • Evaluate all available data (Market, Channel, Fascia, Brand, etc.)  to provide relevant insight to drive the client’s performance.

Compliance

  • Ensure that all Regional Field Managers and their teams complete retailer accreditation schemes and GDPR tests as required.
  • Ensure that all Regional Field Managers and their teams have a full understanding of expected standards of performance and conduct within store.

Technical

  • Comprehensive understanding of the reporting script and equipment in order to optimise data capture.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all relevant data for the purpose of driving team performance.

Financials

  • Support the required budget reconciliation process where appropriate.
  • To continuously monitor Regional Teams’ budget, ensuring that it is not exceeded.

Other Requirements

  • There will be a significant amount of travelling required.
  • Regularly read and follow Company policies and procedures at all times. Policies can be found on the intranet or by asking a member of the HR Team.
  • Take personal responsibility to comply with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Take responsibility for your own personal development and ensure all mandatory training is completed on time. 
  • Adhere to all General Data Protection Rules and policies (GDPR).
