We are seeking a proficient and experienced Buyer in the drinks and snacks category for our client's retail division. This role is central to maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers, while ensuring product availability and competitive pricing.

Our client is a prominent player in the retail sector, boasting over 400 stores across the UK. Known for their broad range of health and beauty products, they also offer an expansive drinks and snacks selection to cater to their diverse customer base.

Description
  • Manage and develop relationships with suppliers
  • Assess and forecast market trends
  • Ensure product availability and competitive pricing
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to assure product quality
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Keep abreast of changes in the retail market


Profile

A successful Buyer - Drinks and Snacks should have:
  • A degree in business, marketing or a related field
  • Proven experience as a buyer in the retail sector
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in forecasting and market trend analysis
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
