Grocery Account Controller

3 days in South East Head Office p/week

Package: c£90/95k basic DoE + car / allowance, bonus, healthcare and pension


Our client:

  • As a result of business growth we are now looking for a Grocery Account Controller to lead and manage the commercial strategy for the branded side of this growing business


The role:

  • Reporting straight to the Sales Director, this is a classic sales leadership role focused on owning and developing the Grocery retail channel strategy
  • Within the role, you will lead a team of four National Account Managers to drive and maximise commercial opportunities for the business, maintaining strong relationships directly with key customers
  • You will represent the brand externally and attend customer meetings where required, working closely with the wider team to align strategic and operational capability
  • We are looking for individuals who are hungry & committed to making their mark; whether this is through channel strategy, developing existing business; or championing product development opportunities for the business


Ideal candidate:

  • Highly experienced in FMCG Commercial roles, operating at National Account Controller level currently
  • Extensive experience working with Grocery retail customers, able to demonstrate understanding and key wins
  • Driven by commercial success and to be part of a growing business
  • Outstanding communication skills and knowledge of FMCG commercial best practices
  • Able to operate with pace and agility and understand and utilize market and category dynamics effectively
