You will be working closely with the Grocery Controller and Wholesale Cash & Carry SNAM with channel strategy implementation.

My client are a globally recognised confectionary brand who take #1 in some of Europe's hottest countries! They trade across the world and their UK business turnover is circa £10m, this year saw growth to £13m and the projections for 2024 are continued growth. As such, they are looking to hire a dynamic and savvy individual to join the team and support on the grocers, indepdentent and regional wholesalers, as well as, learning to run Amazon, daily.



Description

The successful NAE/JNAM (Confectionary) will:
  • Support the Grocery Controller and Wholesale Cash & Carry SNAM with the overall implementation of the channel strategy
  • Assist with the development of Booker Cash and Carry and direct management of smaller wholesale accounts.
  • Assist with the development of the Amazon account
  • Develop and maintain relationships in order to engage & educate retail buyers, developing sales opportunities and increasing profitability
  • Support in the development, management and implementation of joint business plans with key KPI's to ensure delivery of key targets aligned to the channel strategy
  • Influence & excite key retail buyers to secure new distribution
  • Support with key business tasks in line with channel strategy, e.g. trade shows, distribution drives and engagement days
  • Analyse insights and sales data to include in comprehensive customer proposals
  • Maintain a strong awareness and understanding of the confectionery market to ensure business plans and practices adequately reflect market and customer changes / demands
  • Commercial accountability for delivering against targets, securing new business and developing mutually beneficial existing relationships
  • Support the NAC/SNAM deliver accurate financial and volume forecasts








Profile

The successful NAE/JNAM(Confectionary) will:
  • Work in a hybrid model - 3 days in Surrey, 2 days WFH (generally).
  • Provide sales support to a national accounts team experience within the FMCG arena
  • Customer management experience with track record of successful negotiation and category understanding
  • Experience in winning and managing new accounts
  • Experience working with wholesalers and or grocery accounts.
  • A self-starter who is able to work both independently & as part of a team
  • Excellent networking, relationship-building and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insight from data and build category selling stories.
  • Robust commercial understanding, good numerical and negotiation skills
  • Resourceful, adaptable & investigative
  • Agility to interact and influence with different levels internally & externally
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications


Job Offer

On offer for the successful NAE/JNAM (Confectionary) is:
  • £35,000-40,000 DOE
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
