You will be the go-to SEO consultant to Digital Marketing Executives, Content Writers, and Web Developers, and represent SEO in sprint reviews and planning sessions.

My client is one of the most innovative, respected and fastest growing financial services companies on the FTSE100. Digital media is at the heart of their growth strategy. Their Marketing team is seeking a Paid Search Specialist to join their team.

Description

You will join the SEO team, and take ownership of website areas across the business and be the leading SEO consultant to various departments. You will be the go-to SEO consultant to Digital Marketing Executives, Content Writers, and Web Developers, and represent SEO in sprint reviews and planning sessions. This is hands-on, data-driven specialist consultancy work encompassing all aspects of SEO.

You will also work closely on some of the clients' key strategic initiatives, such as a website migration to a new headless CMS, mega menu re-work, and a complete re-design of our share price pages. As part of this role, there is an opportunity to specialise across technical SEO.

What you'll be doing as the SEO lead:
  • Take ownership and accountability of performance in certain website sections, and act as lead SEO consultant to various marketing teams
  • Develop an SEO roadmap and plan/prioritise the top SEO initiatives with marketing squads, backed by research
  • Host regular SEO training workshops/programmes
  • Work on strategic initiatives, such as a website migration: data collection, content protection, retention and retiring decisions, auditing staging websites, developing plans, checklists
  • Develop a strategy for new share price pages, using tech SEO tools to understand mapping, log files, link equity and user behaviour
  • Work with UCD teams to overhaul the mega menu and to develop a plan to help retain SEO benefits, whilst improving the core navigation
  • Establish a technical SEO framework and automation to spot errors and opportunities
  • Attend SEO conferences and feedback learnings to teams
  • Perform competitor gap analysis and comprehensive keyword research to spot new opportunities for growth
  • Develop a cycle of weekly and monthly SEO website audits and reports




Profile

About the ideal candidate:
  • Previous experience within a dedicated SEO role in a large consumer facing organisation (financial services desirable)
  • Proven track record in delivering successful SEO campaigns and excellent website migration experience
  • Ability to work, and be resilient, in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to get senior stakeholders 'bought in'
  • Commercially focused with strong data analysis skills
  • Confident explaining SEO issues and opportunities to all stakeholders' levels with the ability to educate and energise others in relation to the SEO benefits content can bring
  • Confident leading presentations, training programmes
  • Strong website migration experience and track record in successfully migrating websites
  • Experience using technical SEO and automation tools
  • Excellent understanding of meta data, robots.txt, indexation and log files
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and tech SEO and can draw on experience to tell engaging and informative stories
  • Experience using Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Brightedge, Screaming Frog, and enterprise SEO tools
