My client, a market leading consumer electronics manufacturer, are looking for a National Account Manager to manage one of their largest accounts, John Lewis. The role will be home based with circa once a week in their UK HQ, based just outside of London.

Within the role you will be given the autonomy to manage one of their largest retail accounts. My client have a very non-corporate feel, they like to offer the flexibility and responsibility to their employees to enable them to deliver the best possible output.
Description
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the management of a key national account (John Lewis) where you will have accountability for the delivery of the strategy, forecasting, planning and execution of business targets with full account level P&L responsibility.
The National Account Manager - John Lewis:
- Develop sales strategy in conjunction with colleagues within Sales, Market Channel Development, Category Marketing/Activation, Finance and Operations to achieve commercial objectives in UK.
- Establish, coordinate, execute and monitor joint business plans, focusing on driving sales out performance.
- Ensure our brands deliver a best-in-class "in market execution" across your customer portfolio in store and online.
- Deliver internal financial business objectives, whilst managing key customer relationships.
- P&L delivery.
- Deliver sales presentations, negotiate, and deliver business plans
- Use the understanding of strategic intents of customers, partners, channels, and competitors to the requirements of the market
- Source and share knowledge of existing and emerging customer needs and requirements into commercial business plans
- Ensure internal stakeholders are fully aligned to what is needed to deliver within your customer portfolio.
- Manage customer communication and to be flexible in approach
- Create customer/s range architecture to maximize profitability
- Awareness of market dynamics to meet category brand, market, and profitability requirements
- Execute Promotions inline with the National Plan and specific customer needs
- Drive optimal brand visibility.
- Evaluation of promotional activities alongside Business Plans
- Weekly/monthly/Annual sales calls, forecasting input and evaluation of sales plans.
- Management of terms and other trade investment to get optimal ROI for the business.
Profile
The Successful National Account Manager - John Lewis:
- Proven track record within a national account manager role
- Experience working within consumer electronics
- Ideally you will have experience managing John Lewis as an account
- Demonstrable experience of delivering growth with your accounts
- Understanding of key sales drivers
- Demonstrable experience of delivering joint business plans
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and selling skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience of Forecast and Planning
- Experience of building and executing to Channel Strategies
- Self-starter with a drive for results
- UK Driving Licence
- Home based role - happy to travel to my client's HQ (just outside of London) circa once a week plus visits to John Lewis when required.
