Description

Key responsibilities of the Category Insight Manager:

Collaborate with key customers and the Sales team to create joint Category Business Plans.

Continuously assess customer market performance and suggest improvements.

Provide recommendations for product range, pricing, promotions, and merchandising to boost sales and profits for both the business and retailers.

Communicate our category management expertise through presentations and day-to-day interactions with retailers.

Cultivate strong customer relationships through formal meetings and informal discussions.

Share best practices for range reviews, category plans, and strategy with other business units.

Develop and manage a category information system to enhance our understanding of the category's health and competition.

Monitor competitors and assess their potential impact on the business.

Manage the budget effectively for maximum ROI.

Foster a collaborative, goal-aligned environment within the Commercial/Marketing team to enhance overall performance and align with the business strategy.

Profile

The ideal Category Insight Manager:

• Experience with a retailer or an FMCG manufacturer, in a commercial or category discipline
• Able to turn data in to actionable insight
• Fully comfortable with consumer panel data and EPOS data
• Strong user of excel/PowerPoint
• Able to work from the office in Lancashire at least 2 days a week
