My client, a marketing leading European professional beauty brand, are looking for a Country Manager to launch their fantastic brand in the UK market.
Client Details
My client are a marketing leading beauty brand based out of Portugal. They have established themselves as the number 1 professional hair, nail and make-up brand in both Spain and Portugal delivering year on year growth of 30% in 2023, 39% in 2022 and 34% in 2021. They sell into salons, nail bars, spas etc through a wholesaler / distributor network.
My client is committed to sustainability and innovation, they are proud to say that they are 100% vegan, carbon neutral, cruelty free and they use 100% recycled packaging whenever possible.
My client have ambitious growth plans for the UK, you will have the support of established marketing, logistics & supply chain, training and finance teams to make the UK a success. As UK market revenue grows you will be able to recruit a sales team to support you with the continued growth and development of the UK market.
Description
The Country Manager - Beauty will have the full empowerment and accountability for business development of a professional beauty brand in the UK market. We seek someone who has strong knowledge of the professional cosmetics market, particularly someone who has a close relationship / network within the key distributors and wholesalers of professional cosmetics namely:
Capital Hair & Beauty, Aston Fincher, Alan Howard, Salons Direct, Louella Belle, Ellisons and Sally Beauty.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the UK P&L, establishing trading relationships with key distributors and wholesalers of professional cosmetics (namely those above)
- Identifying key customers and prioritise them.
- Negotiate introduction of the product range.
- Negotiate trading terms with those customers
- Negotiate location and brand visibility
- Manage customer orders and follow upstream supply chain within the company
- Implement sales incentives scheme with your customers.
- As the business grows, train, recruit and develop a UK sales team.
Profile
The Successful Country Manager - Beauty:
- A proven track record within the beauty / cosmetics industry
- Proven track recording selling into UK distributors and wholesalers of professional cosmetics
- A network within distributors and wholesalers of professional cosmetics, namely those listed above
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills
- Proven track record within business development
- Numerical proficiency with good understanding of P&Ls and drivers of profitability
- Clear evidence of building strong customer relationships and developing business plans with clear internal and external KPI's
- Happy to travel across England to meet clients.
- Driven and hungry to excel, you are a go-getter with a deal making mindset.
Job Offer

- £80,000 - £100,000 per annum basic salary, DOE
