Job Description:
Recruiting for a Product Manager to develop my clients ranges within cookware and pet as they diversify their categories.
This is a maternity contract role responsible for:
- Driving NPD Process. Implementation through Asia team coordinating budgeting, briefs, prototyping, final samples, pilot runs and certification/patents.
- Ensures optimum co-ordination of activities to meet the deadliness and development commitments.
- Has primary responsibility for ensuring that individual new product development projects are integrated into the sales strategy.
- Responsible for the management of product portfolio information and lifecycle analysis.
- Works collaboratively with sales support team to communicate product availability.
- Collaborates and pitches with sales support team commercial ideas for customers.
- Acts as legislation, technology and compliance expert.
- Negotiating prices.
- Identifying trends, preparing competitor analysis, benchmarking and proposing commercially interesting for their product portfolio.
About the Company:
- An established lighting company and BHETA member my client work with large DIY retailers with a range of products but are at an exciting point of diversifying their product offering.
- My client are investing in new categories and expanding their ranges.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
Experience working within the cookware or pet sector is essential with a min. 2-5 years’ experience developing and/or sourcing products from Far East.
- Experienced in various retail channels, ie DIY, Grocery, high street, distributors
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Skilled at presenting In front of customers
- Thrives in a fast paced environment.
- Personal commitment to on time delivery
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills e.g.; Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Travel to China is required.
