Founded on the docks of Glasgow in 1844 by James Whyte and Charles Mackay, Whyte and Mackay have grown into a company that produces and distributes some of the most respected whisky brands in the world including The Dalmore, Jura, Tamnavulin, and Fettercairn alongside our flagship Blended Whisky, Whyte & Mackay. 

Headquartered in Glasgow, with offices from New York to Singapore, they are a community of over 550 people across every aspect of whisky-making. In Scotland, they operate 8 sites including 4 renowned Single Malt Distilleries, a state-of-the-art Bottling Hall and Distribution Centre in Grangemouth, and a Whisky Production and Warehousing Centre in Invergordon.

Due to internal promotions and continued growth, they are now looking to hire a Key Account Manager in their fast growing Route to Market channel.

You will be tasked with maximising opportunities and building strong, lasting relationships with key contacts in existing wholesale customers. In addition to growing these accounts financially, you will also be responsible for driving distribution, visibility and activation with Buyers.

Working on the award winning whisky portfolio you will be a passionate advocate for the brands and a commercially aware sales person.

Candidate attributes:

  • Strong commercial acumen, knowing the lingo and adapting your approach to the target market
  • Experience of managing and developing an effective customer strategy, increasing brand awareness and demonstrating growth with current accounts
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed, relishing in an exciting new challenge
  • Passionate about the Whyte and Mackay portfolio and able to articulate USPs
  • Ideally Proven capabilities within the route to market / off trade channel

This is an opportunity not to be missed, with a hands-on, supportive Line Manager who has previously worked within this role and can give relevant support and coaching as needed.
