Exciting opportunity for a growing Wine and Spirits division within a market leading national foodservice company

Our company are able to provide a one stop solution including Ambient, Chilled, Frozen, Fresh, Seafood and Meat produce. Their ability to fully meet the requirements for comprehensive menu planning is second to none as is their reputation for combining quality produce with excellent levels of service.

We are currently seeking to recruit an area sales professional to specifically develop sales of wine across a geographical territory.

We have developed a strategic partnership with one of the leading wine suppliers in the UK enabling us to build a fantastic and diverse range of new and old world wine brands.

 

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for growth of wine sales across a specific region.

Part of the role will be to develop and grow your own portfolio of on-trade accounts, including hotels, restaurants and leisure.

You will work from an existing base of trading accounts but also be responsible for adding further account via effective new business.

In addition to this, we currently have trading relationships with clients for our food range across the area and you will work very closely with business managers to gain leads and access to develop these relationships to include wine sales.

As a specialist in wines you will be involved in training with both field sales and telesales so that they develop a fundamental knowledge of wine and are able to spot strong opportunities within their account base.

THE APPLICANT.

The successful candidate will be a proven sales professional with experience selling wine and spirits into the on-trade and catering sectors.

  • Candidates must have experience in selling wine into on-trade accounts, particularly hotel, restaurants and licensed premises.
  • Candidates must also hold a WSET qualification certificate.
  • Candidates must have strong communication skills and enjoy utilising their experience to train and develop colleagues.
  • Candidates must be passionate about wine and enjoy working towards set targets and objectives.
  • Candidates must be able autonomously within the field but also enjoy working within a team environment.
