Job Details
An integral Grocery Category Manager to join a newly formed & exciting FMCG category leader in building out a full category vision. Tasked with providing customer, category and shopper insight to lead a Grocer relationship across customers formats. Working in close partnership with insights, commercial and marketing functions to land targeted category growth initiatives.

Description
- This role is integrated into the grocery channel, working alongside the sales and finance teams but also alongside other Category managers, all working in a very empowered environment.
- Joining an exciting stage as they are building out a full category vision with support from agencies and in partnership with the broader insight team so supporting that project
- Quarterly category discovery days held with Tesco and Asda so would lead category within those sessions supporting a joint juice vision
- Traditional range review preparations, support to customer and post review, building strong relationships
- Supporting the wider commercial team with objective category specific requests, looking to significantly expand the brand so lots of innovative projects to be part of
Profile
- AVAILABLE to join on a 6-8 fixed term basis - Aug/Sept 2022 start
- Strong understanding of Category Management principles
- Experience of working in a customer/client facing role
- Commercial acumen and knowledge of the UK FMCG market
- Ability to demonstrate importance of Distribution, Space & Range
- Track record of delivering stretch targets including course correction & dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to prioritise a complex customer agenda with multiple touch points
- Analytical thinking and control of multiple data sources, ensuring clear performance narrative delivered weekly internally/externally
- Ability to build and maintain lasting internal and external relationships & to present internally and externally to all levels
- Positive, collaborative mindset, & proven ability to work as part of a team
