ROLE

Chelsom Ltd is currently hiring an International Sales Manager for North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sales strategies and pushing the Chelsom brand in major cities across USA and Canada.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a progressive, ambitious, and successful manufacturer of design-led, beautiful interiors products. If you are passionate about design, interiors and have previous experience in international business development (ideally covering North America) we will be interested in hearing from you.

The International Sales Manager for North America will be assigned a cross section of hotel accounts and will also be expected to use existing contacts and experience to initiate sales and nurture relationships across the region.

Regular travel to meet with reps and agents will be key to support their sales efforts and to help with major customer presentations, product launches, training, and key project tenders.

All administration of projects will be handled by the internal sales and commercial functions allowing the International Sales Manager to focus on both generating new income and managing ongoing projects.

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

As a suitable candidate for this role, you will have a successful track record in international business development and will have extensive experience of working with interiors products sold into hotels.  The directors at Chelsom are firm believers in the transferable skill set associated with this role, so what you have sold matters less than to whom you have sold.

A business development background attained in one of lighting, furniture, furnishings, carpets, flooring, wall coverings, mirrors etc…etc.. will be of interest provided the customer base has been the hospitality market.

A background in developing sales in the USA and Canada is desirable.

You will have experience of managing commissioned sales agents and will be able to undertake regular but manageable levels of international travel.

Your precise location within the UK is not of great significance for this position as the role will be based mostly from home when not travelling.
