A fantastic opportunity is waiting for a Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing company and to build a long-term career.

An international brand-driven company, operating in a number of sectors is searching for a self-motivated entrepreneurial Business Development Manager who has a strong background in FMCG (Foodservice or Hygiene sales an advantage). This role will focus on winning and developing new accounts. The right candidate will be an outstanding business developer with the ability to open doors and maximise sales from their full portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Sales Manager to deliver a key part of the sales strategy
  • Generate New Business 
  • Build promotional plans with customers to ensure growth
  • Be the first line of their commercial contact for new business Liaising with other departments to resolve issues and maximise opportunities
  • Execution within their customer base, their Marketing plan Negotiation for product feature and/or display within new accounts

Performance Measurements:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets and KPI's Deliver against distribution, volume and other commercial metrics
  • Deliver product distribution growth
  • Development of local Joint Business Plans Implementation & execution of National Promotional Activity
  • Customer Contact in line with agreed frequency
  • Ensuring an effective journey call plan is developed to meet business and customer needs

The Business Development Manager:

  • Minimum of 3 successful years’ sales experience in a similar role
  • The ideal candidate will be a passionate and driven salesperson
  • Background in Foodservice, Hygiene sales or FMCG
  • Ability to work under pressure and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Target driven with good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with others, network and build relationships
  • Strong selling & negotiation skills “more for more”
  • Demonstrate solid business acumen
  • Competent in using customer data systems
  • Comfortably present to all levels
  • Show strong organisational and time management skills
  • Establish rapport and build relations across all levels
