Our client is a fast-growing pet business on a mission to make owning a pet more sustainable. For nearly 15 years they have been innovating away from a world dominated by cheap plastic toys and accessories trying to make products that do as little damage to the environment as possible. They have gone from strength to strength in recent years, growing 30% year on year and are currently stocked in over 43 markets worldwide, with products sold in retailers such as Waitrose, Ocado & Pets at Home, as well as independents across the UK and distributors worldwide…. but this is only the beginning!

They now have a fantastic opportunity to join one of the fastest growing and most exciting pet brands in the UK. 

Overview:

Leading a team of 3-4 highly driven sales representatives to hit company sales targets and brand vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing 3-4 sales representatives
  • Help put together sales targets and KPIs for team
  • Track and monitor achievement vs sales targets and KPIs
  • Perform regular training, and ride-alongs with team so they can deliver on brand vision and sales targets
  • Build best practice guides and presentations the team can use
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements to efficiency and productivity within the team
  • Help team to plan journeys, and spot opportunities
  • Own the growth and development of a diverse and high performing sales team.
  • Recruit when needed
  • Manage select key customers in their home territory
  • Implement trade marketing and promotional plans across all sales territories
  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines to ensure retailer success and ability to influence cross-functional teams

Experience:

  • 3-6 years’ experience in field sales
  • Team management experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
