Corporate Sales Executive

Hay Hampers is a well-established but fast-growing ecommerce business specialising in luxury hampers and corporate gifts. The business competes in the online gifting market and is part of a larger European food business, Moguntia Food Group. 

Latest estimates suggest the UK market for personalised gifts could be worth £1bn in the next 12 months and there is significant opportunity for Hay Hampers to achieve continued and more rapid growth in this sizeable market.

As a key strategic player, we need you to bring your energy and drive to help create momentum and implement our plans for growth. Being a strongly entrepreneurial business, you will need to be able to balance the ethos of the brand alongside commercial acumen and awareness. Most importantly you will need a genuine passion to make things happen.

The Corporate Sales Representative needs to be passionate about generating new business, keeping existing customers happy and of course organise exceptional events. You will have a strong commercial focus, with the drive to succeed in a target driven role and have the ability to recognise opportunities to grow the business, through nurturing new leads and developing existing customer relationships.

Job Role: Corporate Sales Executive 
The principle focus of the job is to research potential customers to shape and build new business and grow new business through effective communication methods including creating new business leads, customer meetings and email marketing.
By working towards your KPI's through developing market understanding, building relationships and networking you will provide effective account management to support your customers and the business.
By collaborating with the current sales team, cross-functional teams, and external partners to help develop a rich customer experience.
Typical of many entrepreneurial businesses, the role is wide and varied and will provide an opportunity to further develop in a sales career whilst gaining experience and operating in a large, dynamic market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities
Reactively manage inbound phone and online enquiries. Produce suitable proposals and quotes for all inbound enquiries. Manage the sales cycle for each and every enquiry to optimise and maximise the business opportunity. Create bespoke event solutions to suit the customer’s needs. Pro-actively generate new business from existing and new customers. Sourcing, attracting and nurturing new customers into new accounts that can produce repeat business. Present to customers in a creative way to inspire and motivate them to select us to deliver their events.

Revenue & KPI’s
Ensure you meet your sales targets are achieved on a monthly basis including the financial year end period. Review your own sales performance and forecast with a view to meet and exceed targets.
Administration & Management
Manage all customer content and the sales process through our internal CRM system, including lead sources, contact notes and future actions. 

Commercial Awareness
Know your products and make it your business to be aware of competitors and developments within the industry. Attend research trips to develop knowledge of sites, venues and activities and develop relationships with sites and suppliers. Gather competitor and market sector information where appropriate and share with appropriate departments. Represent the company at trade exhibitions and events when required feeding future buying trends back to your team. Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

Able to develop and grow cross functional relationships, with the ability to communicate at all levels

Experience/Qualifications/Education and Person Specification (E- Essential / D- Desirable)

Additional Information:
Hours of Work: Mon – Fri 40 hours per week
Annual Commission paid @ 1% of net sales of new business  
Salary: From £22,500 Dependant on experience 
Holidays: 33 days inc bank holidays
