As part of these plans our client are looking to add into their already high performing retail commercial division.

Role

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for delivering profitable organic growth within an existing UK retail customer portfolio, whilst also developing opportunities within new customers, markets, and product sectors.

Headline accountabilities for the role will include:

  • Executing commercial strategy to drive business growth and performance both in terms of turnover and GP across key customers.
  • Regaining lost business and preimmunize existing business by developing customer relationships and by providing value-added services.
  • Seeking out all new opportunities across existing customers, and by developing robust profitable plans to enter new markets sectors and new innovations.
  • Completing and progressing all customer tenders and enquiries.
  • Providing regular communication across all HO functions to deliver best in class service to customers.
  • Supporting planners with regular delivery of customer forecast.
  • Gathering and sharing market data and intelligence across all sectors.
  • Managing major supplier discussions for forward volumes and pricing.

Requirements

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you must have a proven track record of successfully managing customers within UK top 4, 2nd tier, discount or online retail channels. It is essential that you have advanced skills within negotiation, customer management, trade spend management and excellence in execution. This an incredibly fast paced organisation, so it is also essential you are able to work in this type of environment.
